Is Your Website Secure?

Since 31st January 2017, any page on your website that is not HTTPS and that has a form field on it (for password or credit card details, for example) has been labelled as ‘Not secure’ in the location bar by Google Chrome. This includes your WordPress login page. You may have also noticed a warning symbol that appears next to the URL in the location bar of your website and other sites you have visited. Rather than indicating that your site has been compromised, it simply means that your site is not HTTPS. However, visitors to your site may feel concerned about leaving their personal details or sensitive information on your site.

WordPress 4.7.4 Maintenance Release

After almost sixty million downloads of WordPress 4.7, WordPress 4.7.4, a maintenance release, has become available. The release contains 47 maintenance fixes and enhancements. Among them is an incompatibility between the upcoming Chrome version and the visual editor, inconsistencies in media handling, and further improvements to the REST API.
